I recently completed a spring start-up and inspection on two Daikin split systems for a homeowner. As part of the start-up process, I thoroughly inspected each unit to ensure it was in good working condition. I then proceeded to perform a comprehensive maintenance check, including cleaning the condenser coils, checking refrigerant levels, and adjusting the airflow to optimize performance. During the inspection, I also advised the homeowner to keep the mulch, which was surrounding the base of the condensing units, clear. Mulch can cause oxidation and reduce the units' efficiency. By following my advice, the homeowner can ensure that their Daikin split systems operate at their peak performance and provide optimal comfort for their family.
